Taqueria Los Dos Laredos sits quietly on S Hackberry Street as a no-frills Mexican spot known more for its authentic flavors than its décor. The dining area is compact, roughly a 25 by 25-foot room that shows its age, making it feel like a familiar neighborhood joint rather than a polished restaurant. Expect simple seating and a straightforward setup—this is the kind of place where the food takes center stage over ambiance.

This taqueria blends Mexican and Latin American breakfast and lunch offerings, making it a practical stop for anyone craving hearty, traditional dishes without fuss. Breakfast tacos are a standout, especially items like the steak and eggs, papa-egg-cheese-bacon combinations, and chilaquiles verdes with fried eggs. The portion sizes land on the generous side, which appeals to both families and workers looking for filling, flavorful meals to start their day.

Lunch brings classics like carne guisada tacos and platillos Los Dos Laredos featuring chicken and beef fajitas with rice and beans. The menu has a range that includes seafood options—like breaded shrimp and larger coctel servings—plus approachable kid-friendly plates, making it a flexible spot for groups with diverse tastes.

The vibe inside is casual and unpretentious. It’s not a place to linger over a slow meal or for special occasions, but rather somewhere to grab a solid, unfussy breakfast or lunch whether on a quick weekday break or a relaxed weekend brunch hour. Locals appreciate the quick service and friendly staff, and the drive-thru option makes it convenient for people on the move. The salsa served with chips is notably addictive, often getting diners hooked before the main meal even arrives.

If you’re visiting, morning or midday tends to be the best time to avoid any busier crowds, especially since the space is small and can feel crowded when busy. It’s a spot familiar to those who enjoy genuine, no-frills Mexican cooking rather than shiny dining rooms or modern aesthetics. Families with kids, workers from nearby areas, and anyone in the mood for down-to-earth Mexican comfort food will find the straightforward appeal of Los Dos Laredos hard to beat.

Taqueria Los Dos Laredos is a small, somewhat dingy restaurant, but the food is excellent. The dining area is about a 25x25 foot room and needs a remodel. I ordered the parrilladas fajita mix and my wife got the chicken quesadillas. Both tasted fresh and were serve hot and quick.

I came in from Austin to visit my brother and happened upon this place. I had chicken fajita mini tacos, came with all the fixings. Its plentiful and very delicious. My mom had pork chop plate, she said they cooked and flavored it to perfection. Even got my niece and nephew tacos, my niece who is usually very picky and doesn't eat, gobbled up her tacos. It wasn't very busy inside, but there was a drive thru that we kept seeing people go to. They are very fast and very kind. I would definitely go bac. I want to try more things

Delicious...I was in and out in the drive thru in 7 minutes....ordered a few tacos and enchilada's... Came in for brunch so not too many cars in line. Friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. We will definitely be back if in the area again. Thanks so much for the papita...

I normally don't eat much of the chips and salsa but the salsa was dope. I couldn't stop eating it. The enchiladas Verdes was the best I've had in a very long time.

Fast and friendly. The food has good flavor and the tortillas are decent. The place isn't beautiful but it's good for a quick bite in the morning.

I had the best seafood soup here. Also had a bite of the carne asada that was perfectly seasoned and oh so soft. The food was so ridiculously good I have to come back from Dallas SOON to try everything!
